The Slanket

Under normal circumstances I would not indulge in the rather common practice of endorsing someone else’s product - but in the case of The Slanket I am prepared to make an exception. Originally designed by Sir Norman Hartnell for my Bridesmaids, this garment instantly became a must-have item for all society weddings in the 1970’s. Known today as The Slanket, it is the garment of choice for the nation’s campanologists and formed the basic design for the official uniform of Bogwarts in those appalling Barry Bottom films. I own at least twenty three Slankets and use them for birthing lambs, laying badger bait, umpiring real tennis, emptying the slurry pit, all weddings - and for my clandestine missions with F.A.I.R.I.E.S.
